Built in 1921, this former elementary school, intermediate school, high school, and public meeting place was transformed into 79 affordable apartments. The 109,000 square foot 3-story historic structure is a prime example of Colonial Revival architecture, which required Universal to provide a custom window solution to accommodate the building’s unusually large and unique windows to meet historic guidelines. The solution also allowed owner Beacon Communities to receive a LEED rating for the complex. (Listed on the National Park Service National Register of Historic Places).
